Information On Visa
Citizens of the Russian Federation and other foreign nationals normally resident in the Russian Federation can obtain visa from the Embassy.
Tourist Visa
For Russian Nationals Visa application form, in duplicate, should be filled in, preferably in English. One photograph to be pasted on each visa application form. Return air ticket/computer print out indicating air booking to be produced. If the applicant wishes to apply for visas for more than three months, a certificate from a recognised Doctor to the effect that the person is free from AIDS is to be submitted. (This is applicable to all types of visas for Russian nationals applying for more than three months duration). A service fee of USD 40/- payable in Roubles is to be paid by each visa applicant.
For Other Nationals
Visa application form, in duplicate, to be filled in, preferably in English. One photograph to be affixed on each application form. Applicants are required to produce their valid Russian visa Resident permit the validity of which should not be less that the period for which they are applying for the Indian visa. The applicant may have to present himself in the Consular Wing of the Embassy for an interview. Business Visa
Two visa application forms along with two photographs and invitation letter from the concerned Indian company should be submitted along with any other connected business papers. A service fee of USD 40/- payable in Roubles is to be paid by each Russian business visa applicant. For other nationals, fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section. Student Visa
Student visas can be obtained on furnishing proof of admission to recognised universities/institutions in India for the duration of the course of study. Two visa application forms with two photographs and the admission letter from the concerned institute/school/college are to be submitted. A service fee of USD 50/- payable in Roubles is to be paid by each visa applicant. Visa For Study In Yoga, Vedic Culture, Indian System Of Music, Dance, etc. Visa to foreigners to pursue studies in yoga, vedic culture, Indian system of music, dance, etc., in recognised Indian institutions is issued on production of admission letters from recognised Indian institutions. Application forms are to be submitted in duplicate with two photographs. A service fee of USD 50/- payable in Roubles is to be paid by each visa applicant. Transit Visa Transit visas are also required to be obtained before departure, as Transit visas for brief halts in India ( upto 72 hours) enroute to other destinations, cannot be obtained from Immigration counters at airports in India. A service fee of USD 40/- payable in Roubles is to be paid by each visa applicant. Other Visas Applicants seeking visas for Research, attending International Conference and seminars held in India, film shooting, to visit spouses/near relatives of persons working / employed in India, etc., are required to submit relevant documents along with their visa applications. Other conditions for visa remain the same. Visa Fee We do not charge any fee for visa to Russian nationals. However, a service charge of USD 40/- payable in Roubles is levied on each visa application.
Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy may ask for additional information at any stage during processing of the application. The fact that an application for visa has been made does not guarantee that visa will be issued. The Embassy reserves the right to refuse visa. Working Hours Visas applications can be submitted at the Consular wing of the Embassy of India, Moscow from 10 AM to 12.30 PM on all working days. Visas can be collected from the same place on the specified dates from 5 PM to 6 PM. Our Consulates in St. Petersburg and Vladivostok accept visa applications from 9.30 AM to 6 PM on all working days. We are closed on Saturdays & Sundays. |
