Tucked away on the Western Coast of India with the azure blue Arabian Sea in the front, is the cosmopolitan Mumbai City (formerly Bombay). The city is governed by many distinctions and is considered to be one of the best protected port city in the subcontinent. It is also the most hot and happening 'metropolis' in India and offers immense tourist potentialities. The city, originally, is a group of seven islands, namely - Colaba, Mahim, Mazgaon, Parel, Worii, Girgaum and Dongri. These islands were inhibited by the 'Kolis', who later coined the name Mumbai, after their Goddess, Mother Mumba Aai. It was during the time of British East India Company that the city got developed as a prime business center and since then Mumbai never looked back.

Today the city is the fastest moving city of India and occupies an important place in every tourist book. Some of the major attractions of the city include the magnificent 'Gateway of India', erected by the British as a welcome sign for the Queen of Britain. The 'Taj Mahal Hotel, is another architectural delight located just behind the Gateway of India. This hotel serves as one of the leading hotels in the subcontinent. Again standing tall in the middle of a major five-way intersection is the enchanting Flora Fountain. The Prince of Wales Museum is another famous attractions of the city divided into three distinct sections namely art, archaeology and natural history.
