romantic city of Jodhpur, the most happening holiday destination
in India. The city is considered to be the second largest city of
Rajasthan and is still one of the leading centers for cattle, camels,
salt and agricultural crops. Let the inimitable imperial grandeur
of Jodhpur takes you into a sweet bygone, wherefrom you never like
to return. Or experienced a delightful encounter with an array of

and colorful costumes of Jodhpuris.
Built as a result of warring brothers, the city was founded in 1459
by Rao Jodha. First came the massive Mehrangarh Fort and around
it grew the city of Jodhpur. Nestled atop a stiff rugged hill, the
impregnable fortress houses some of the most intricately adorned
palaces with exquisitely carved panels and lattice windows. Some
important attractions within the fort include Moti Mahal, Phool
Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and Daulat Khana. The Jaswant Thada is another
interesting attraction in Jodhpur. It is a cluster of royal cenotaphs

Jodhpur is also known for its fabulous bazaars that exhibit a large
collection of die-and-tie fabrics in extremely fine designs. Innumerable
shops and pavement stalls crowded the streets of Jodhpur, where
you can find exotic marble souvenirs, and vast range of decorative
and useful items.
The countless cultural celebrations taking place here reflect the
rich history of the city. Among these, the most appealing one is
the Marwar Festival with a variety of Rajasthani folk music and
dance performances.
