Destinations of India

Goa

Long ago a messenger from the Christian world landed up on a nice little coastal land by the side of the mighty Arabian Sea. So appealing is the beauty it has that the messenger decided never to return and spend his entire life preaching lessons of The Christ in this soothing land. Today this incredible land ‘Goa’ is ranked amongst the few foremost beach destinations of the world. A paradise on Earth that exhibits vast tourist potentialities, be it the sprawling hills, meandering rivers, lush green valleys, magnificent churches and temples, festivals or the miles and miles of immaculate beaches.

Often referred as the ‘Pearl of the East’, Goa combines the distinctive characteristics of its Portuguese ancestors with the rich Indian tradition. Sun, sand, food, wine, old gothic churches and azure blue sea is what is Goa known for. It presents some of the most sought-after beaches in the World. Relaxed on the soft silvery sands of these tranquil beaches dotted with swaying coconut palms, and quaint little hamlets amidst a tropical paradise.

Calangute Beach is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Goa, also Known as ‘the Queen of Beaches’ in tourists’ books. The beach deals best when it comes to action and activity. Small houses amidst the coconut groves behind the beach are the most sought after places that are in constant demand. A little farther to the north, lies the Baga, which is equally charming and more relaxed place to stay. Dona Paula Beach is another idyllic place to relax and sunbathe. Running along a long stretch of white sand, fringed with coconut palms besides a warm and calm sea, the Colva beach, is nothing short of a paradise. Some of the other beaches worth visiting in Goa include the smooth and calm benaulim, Vagator, Chapora, and Anjuna beach.
