ABOUT US
Dubai-based Emirates is one of the fastest growing airlines in the
world and has received more than 250 international awards for excellence
since its launch in 1985.
With the recent addition of new routes to Moscow, Auckland, Perth, Mauritius
and Cochin we can now take you to more than 70 destinations in 50 countries
in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, Asia and Australia.
EMIRATES INFLIGHT
Our professional, friendly, multilingual cabin crew are drawn from
more than 90 nationalities and will do everything they can to make
you feel at home.
All Emirates aircraft are equipped with a personal entertainment system in
all classes. On Emirates B777 and A330 aircraft, passengers are provided with
up to 18 TV channels and 22 audio channels. Passengers travelling in First or
Business Class are offered our film library, with up to 50 titles to ensure
there's always a favourite to watch on your in-seat personal video player.
* Currently Emirates operates an A310 service on selected routes (including
Peshawar) on which every passenger has access to six TV channels and eight audio
channels.
DUBAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Thanks to the five-level, state-of-the-art terminal, your journey to or through
Dubai is even easier and more enjoyable.
There are two Emirates lounges, First and Business Class, providing travellers
with luxuries including spacious sitting rooms, massage chairs, guest bedrooms,
and 42-inch plasma television screens. The Business Class lounge was extensively
refurbished and upgraded last year, effectively doubling its size. In addition,
a dedicated First and Business Class check-in, a 100-room luxury hotel, a fully
equipped business and conference centre, and more than 5,400 square metres of
Duty Free shopping maintain the Emirates focus on superior customer service.
EMIRATES FLEET
Our fleet is constantly being upgraded to keep it one of the youngest in the
skies. After recent additions we now have an extensive fleet of over 50 aircraft,
which includes 29 Airbus A330-200, 9 Boeing 777, and 12 larger 300-series Boeing
777 aircraft. As a highlight of our future growth Emirates announced the biggest
order in civil aviation history, worth $19 billion, at the Paris Air Show 2003.
In December 2003, the first of 28 ultra-long range Airbus 340-series aircraft
joined the Emirates fleet. These spacious four-engine planes can travel over
14,000km without refuelling - allowing Emirates to take you all the way non-stop
from Dubai to Australia, Japan or North and South America. An additional 26
Boeing 777s will also extend our capacity on existing routes. We are proud to
be one of the first airlines that will fly the newest and largest passenger
aircraft in the world, the Airbus double decker A380, which holds over 550 passengers
and will be joining our fleet by October 2006. Emirates has 45 of these advanced
aircraft on order.
